Let’s take a look at the travel news stories and funnies for the week:
- Starting October 7, trips between Manhattan and JFK Airport will be calculated based on standard New York City time and distance rates. Flat rate fares will no longer apply to these rides. (H/T: Jason N.)
- American Airlines Executive Platinum members receive a free buy on board meal when traveling in economy on American operated flights. This will continue past October 17, following the American policy over the US Airways policy.
- Amtrak is offering free digital newspapers for select Business Class and First Class customers.
- There’s lots of upgrade space and low-level Business Class award space to Paris on American this winter. Grab it while you can! Remember, low-level Business Class is “U” space and upgrades process with “C” class.
- A little Delta humor…
That’s all for travel news for now!
