As you can probably imagine, American is refurbishing their Legacy US Airways A321’s, since those aircraft are a dread to fly… I will actively avoid flying through Charlotte or Philadelphia, for example, to avoid these atrocious A321’s.
Why will I avoid them? Well, the biggest reason is lack of power. To fly this plane on a trans-con Charlotte to San Fransisco, for example, you’re at constant fear that your laptop will go dead and you’ll have no way to charge it.
Well, looks like American hasn’t taken notice of this vital element as the A321s getting retrofitted do NOT have power being added.

The refurbished plans have new bulkheads, carpet and will have seat covers replaced, but no power is being added.
Just lovely. Guess I better ensure my laptop and phone are fully charged prior to boarding. The saga continues…
As a side note, I do believe it’s in the works to add power to these jets, just on a later re-fresh…

You need to add PHX to your places to avoid. All AA planes from there are recycled US Air planes also.
Who cares about power if they have TVs. But I don’t see you mentioning those either. Are they truly not providing TVs in 2016?
No, there’s no TVs on these aircraft.
