While I know many have frustrations with GoGo, primarily flying American, it’s the main onboard wifi provider for the domestic US flights I fly I know there’s a colloquial term of “SlowGo,” and I certainly can side with that frustration, especially on my Dallas to Santa Barbara flight the other day, where there was a good half portion of the flight where the wifi was either unusable, or too slow to be even remotely productive.
That said, I know one of the major gripes using GoGo is that you can’t connect two devices to it. Sometimes I’ll connect my iPhone to browse some basic social media and then use my laptop for more complex tasks. I multi-task between the two, just like I do on the ground. That said, up until this point, you can’t really do that. You can only use one device, and when you want to use another, you need to log off the first one, and then sign in on the second, a very frustrating process.
For me, my two devices are always my iPhone and laptop.
GoGo is Adding Two Device Support
For an additional $10 a month, you can now use two devices inflight. Simply add it to your account, and then connect two devices inflight. GoGo says the activation isn’t instant, so you may need to wait a few days before it kicks in.
Otherwise, this is an awesome improvement. I’m not sure if I’ll add this on, to be honest, because I don’t know if I value connecting 2 devices that much for the brief inflight period, though I certainly some people who will take advantage of this.
