People often thing that all the “good stuff” at hotels is reserved for people who stay at a specific brand of hotel a lot, or who hold some sort of high level elite status. At Kimpton, you don’t need to be any of that – all you need to know is the “secret password.”
Pretty much every season, Kimpton shares a “secret password” that, when used, gets you perks and free stuff at the hotel, which could be:
- free upgrade
- free parking
- free cocktails
- a welcome amenity
- free bottle of wine
- free breakfast
- a discount off of a meal
- …and other great things, too!
Literally all you need to do is go to the front desk, and as you check-in, just tell them the secret password. At that point, the hotel will share with you what the secret password entitles you to. At many of the Kimpton properties I’ve stayed at, the free item(s) have been very generous, including breakfast for 2, which could cost a hefty amount depending on the hotel.

It’s that easy. Free stuff just for going to the front desk and telling them the secret password. Too cool right?
