When traveling it is important to be comfortable and have a good pair of pants to wear. I had trouble finding just the right fit until I found Bluffworks pants. These pants were designed by Stefan Loble who used funding from Kickstarter to create these great pants. They can be worn for hiking and do not require ironing. I like that they can stay clean without having to be washed after every use. This is an added benefit when traveling and there may not be access to a washer or dryer. These pants look great and are very durable.

There are two styles – a more original fit, which is roomier, and a modern, slimmer, chino fit. I prefer the chino fit.

The Bluffworks pants are lightweight, comfortable, and they will not wrinkle even when they are packed in a suitcase. There are zipped pockets that are hidden. I find this useful for keeping my wallet and passport safe especially when in a town I am not familiar with. These pants are versatile and can be worn on a number of activities, including both moving from a more formal environment such as an office, to then flying on a plane, or walking through a city. I have worn them for hiking, taking a long plane trip, biking, sightseeing, to upscale restaurants, and even to a wedding. I have worn these pants a number of times and they are still new looking with no signs of wear. After numerous washes and long periods of wear, they still look and smell new.

There are many things that I enjoy about Bluffworks pants . These pants are lightweight, which is probably one of the biggest benefits; They only weight 13.4 ounces . When I am packing I do not have to worry about the pants adding extra weight to my already somewhat heavy suitcase. I have worn these pants on a plane for 12 hours and I still felt comfortable at the end. They did not bunch up and I was even able to get comfortable enough to sleep. The Bluffworks pants are wrinkle free, and wrinkle resistant. I can pack them in my suitcase and when I take them out I can put them right on. I do not have to worry if I am going to have access to an iron or a steamer.

When I do have to wash the pants I know I will not have to wait for hours for them to dry. Since they are made from polyester they will dry very quickly. Another great feature of the Bluffworks is that there is a hidden security pocket. I can hide my valuables in these pockets and no one evens knows there is a pocket there. These pants are strong enough to wear outside but they are classy enough to wear to a nice dinner. They come in classic colors as well. These colors include black, khaki, brown, and navy. There are some brighter colors for those that want to be fashionable, too. The fabric is durable and even after a couple of years of use they still look as good as new. They come in regular or relaxed fit.

When I travel I do not carry a large suitcase with me. I try to make everything as compact as possible. In some cases all I do is carry a backpack and shove everything inside of it. My pants tend to get wrinkled which can be a problem when going out to some of the nicer places. These pants are wrinkle free. This is great because I don’t pack an iron with me, and don’t want to get into the hassle of using the one at the hotel, and I can pull the pants out and I am good to go.

I also like that these pants are made right here in the United States. They are made in New York City. What makes the manufacturing really interesting is that these pants were made on the same street that the founder Stefan’s grandfather worked as a garment cutter. This was 90 years ago and there is still clothing that is being produced in this area today.

The price of these Bluffworks pants are a little high at first (or, so many people thing). They do cost $98 but they are well worth it. This was the only pair of pants that I had to buy in a long time. In fact I think I ended up saving money in the long run, as these pants have far outlasted anything else I’ve purchased, and because of their versatility, they save on buying different brands for different occasions.

I love traveling with the Bluffworks pants. They are comfortable and easy to care for. These pants can be worn to a number of different events so I do not have to over pack. All I need is a pair of Bluffworks pants and I am good to go.

These pants look awful and shapeless, like they’re made of cheap plastic. They scream fashion-blind American!

Not at all. They’re absolutely fantastic. The chino type has more shape to them and are more slim fitting. Trust me – try them. I’ve got numerous pairs.

I wish they made cargo pants. I always need more pockets.
