Yesterday I flew from Paris (Orly) to Madrid on Iberia, in Business Class.
For this flight, I selected seat 1C, an aisle bulkhead – since intra-Europe Business Class Seats are essentially economy class seats with the middle seat blocked, the bulkhead provides a tad more legroom.
Check in was simple, and there was no line upon approaching the desk.

Boarding started pretty much on time, however there was already a long line at the gate when I arrived about 10 minutes earlier. There were two lines – one to the left for Economy and one to the right for Business and oneworld elites.

Onboard, I was greeted by the friendly purser and was directed to seat 1C. The interesting thing about row 1 on their A320’s is that there is a closet on the opposite side – so row 1 doesn’t actually have a D/E/F side. This provides a nice amount of privacy.

Once airborne, menus were distributed. Even with this being a 2:40pm departure, there was a full meal.

I chose the pasta, and also a Coke, and the meal was presented within about 5 minutes – very speedy.

On the tray was the main course, cheese, a salad, and a coffee cake for dessert. Bread was also offered after a few minutes.
The meal was very tasty, and I had no complaints. Refills were offered on drinks without question.
Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with Iberia’s intra-Europe Business Class – the service was prompt and continued throughout the flight, the food was tasty, and I especially appreciated the privacy of row 1 on the A320.
