No Plans for New Years Eve?

I’m probably not like most people. When New Year’s Eve rolls around, most folks like to either stay home, or stay local – perhaps at a party in their home town, out to drink at a nearby bar, or maybe a venture into the nearest major city for some fun. I, however, like to see the new year rung in from anywhere BUT my home town.

Last year, I was fortunate enough to see 2018 come in Sydney, Australia. It was probably one of the most spectacular sites I’ve ever seen, and a moment I’ll never forget. Between the fanfare, the crowds, the awesome fireworks, and the festive hype, it’s an iconic scene for New Year’s Eve, for sure.

But, you don’t have to venture out to the land down under to have a good time. Even cities close to home can provide tremendous value.

Take, for example, Hilton, who has a number of properties in New York City, “the” place to be on New Year’s Eve. The Hilton Times Square is currently pricing at $564 on Hilton.com, with the Hilton Honors discount. For many, that could be an expensive evening, but that same room also can be booked for 80,000 Hilton Honors points, which covers the stay and all taxes and fees, creating a memorable New Year’s Eve right in the heart of all the action for little to no money. Plus, it’s walking distance to where the famous ball drops – so you can’t have a better view.

Booking direct with Hilton will always get you a better rate than booking with an online travel agency, so if you are booking a cash rate, be sure to  book your stay directly with Hilton through any official Hilton website or call center, the Hilton Honors app, at a Hilton property or through an accredited travel agent. And as part of Hilton’s “Expect Better” promise, if you book directly you can take advantage of Hilton’s Price Match Guarantee, which says that if a traveler finds a lower rate, Hilton will match that price and then discount the stay by 25 percent*.

As a Hilton Honors member, you’ll also be able to book your points bookings on the Hilton website as well, so it’s a one-stop shop, no matter which city you choose to spend New Year’s Eve in.

As a member of Hilton Honors, which is Hilton’s free-to-join loyalty program, you will have access to instant benefits when they book direct, including the opportunity to earn Points toward future stays, free standard Wi-Fi, and access to the Hilton Honors mobile app where they can use Digital Key and choose their own room.

A flexible payment slider also allows Honors members to choose nearly any combination of Points and money to book a stay. Learn more at Hilton.com.
