When I was in Paris over Memorial Day weekend this year, I asked the concierge at the Park Hyatt Vendome about a local place to have dinner. I didn’t want anywhere touristy, and wanted to eat in a place he would eat at. Somewhere where the locals eat at.

He pointed me to a place about a half hour walk away, near Notre Dame.

Le Bistrot de l’Alycastre
2 Rue Clement
75006
Paris, France

When I arrived, I was greeted by the owner, who was dressed casually, and wearing flip-flops. I knew this would be a great restaurant, because it wasn’t crowded, and the place seemed “at home.” My meal cost about $90 USD, including appetizer, main course, dessert and wine; it was well worth it, and reasonable for what was offered, considering it was in Paris.

I’d highly recommend visiting this restaurant, and if you’re in for some good local, fresh, Parisian food, this is the place for you.

Which credit card did you use to pay for the meal? 😉

Park Hyatt Vendome has one of the best concierge desks worldwide…..I am not surprised by the great recommendation.

Agreed with JustSaying. Best concierge desk I’ve ever experienced. So many requests coming in and these guys were so calm as they answered everything. We too got some great recommendations (for places much closer though) they were excellent.
