New Hyatt Platinum Benefit at the Park Hyatt Paris Vendome

The Park Hyatt Paris Vendome is probably one of the most aspirational properties you can redeem for in the Hyatt system, and is one I highly recommend using for your two free Chase Hyatt Visa credit card nights, if you get the chance. I’ve reviewed the hotel before, and found it to be a wonderful property that’s well located, clean and has descent sized rooms for the city of Paris.

It looks like the property has added a benefit specific to Hyatt Platinum members, which is new. Platinum’s will now receive 50% off of the buffet breakfast each morning as part of their status. Of course, Diamond members will continue to receive breakfast complimentary.

The breakfast at Les Orchidées in the hotel is expensive, as you can imagine. 50% is considerable savings, as you can see by the standard prices below:

Easy Ways to Earn Hyatt Platinum Status:

  • Get the Chase Hyatt Visa. You get Platinum status simply by having the card.
  • Watch out for promotions from Frequent Traveler Universities. The last two events have featured free Platinum status to selected registrants. I’m not sure if that offer will continue, but it’s always worth keeping your eye out.
  • Stay 5 stays. It’s not that hard, and staying 5 individual (1) night stays will get you Platinum status. That’s how I first started out, and it was easy as could be.

I suspect many of you are Platinum, or will become Platinum soon because of how easy it is to earn. Since the Park Hyatt Paris is such an aspirational property, I can imagine this will come in handy for you, should you want to eat breakfast in the hotel.
